The “Preschool Room” is final step for your child, as they prepare for the transition process from a childcare environment to the school setting.
At Pied Piper Kindergarten we pride ourselves in the development and delivery of our school readiness curriculum, based on the concept, “Skills for Life”.
Following the current Board of Studies NSW syllabus guidelines, Pied Piper Kindergarten has developed a comprehensive school readiness program which reflects the key learning areas of English, Mathematics, Science & Technology, HSIE, Creative Arts and PDHPE. The children’s current interests and goals are fostered and developed through the key learning areas, targeting key skills they require for when they go to “big school”.
Our 4-5’s Educators have a sound understanding of the expectations of children within their first year of primary school and base their school readiness program with this in mind. To best prepare the children in our care we encourage and foster the development of academic, social and self-help skills throughout our program.
Our Raby and Blair Athol Childcare centres have strong relationships with the local schools within our community, allowing us to further support your child and family throughout the transitions from Pied Piper to primary school. Throughout your child’s final year at Pied Piper the Educators and Management team host a variety of information evenings for our families to provide you with further information and support throughout this big step in your child’s life.
